At All State all of the crew had to sit and listen to the read through, I thought that was really helpful because then the directors know that everyone has read it whether they need to or not. Plus for the crew it helps bring this world of a carnival and circus into thinking before we even start building or seeing the finished set design. Now no matter what we do in crew, we know how the whole show should look and feel for the audience.

I liked not having to read the whole play on my own. It was also cool to get to hear your vision and everything.

It is interesting to see how many people involved in the play need to create a scene analysis. Yet, a choral director's scene analysis is different from a lighting designer's scene analysis which is different from all the other designer's scene analysis.

Mr. Little has left a new comment on your post "Auditons":
Auditions are always tough, whether you're a director or a person auditioning. There are always hard decisions to be made, but that's the nature of the arts. I have a great friend who is an actor in L.A. When he first moved out there, he auditioned for a sitcom, and wasn't chosen, but the casting director thought he was perfect for another show she was casting. So, he ends up being on "Veronica Mars" for 4 episodes because of his "failed" audition for something else. By the way, he's literally gone to hundreds of auditions since and hasn't landed anything of substance... c'est la vie!
