We are just viewing Grease out of our back window and now we move forward to the Spring Play. The Mousetrap by Agatha Cristie. This should e a very fun show a muder mystery that helped to define the genre! Pictures of Grease should be avalible soon.

Grease was indeed the word here last weekend when Backlight brought the house down with our Fall muscial GREASE!.

Thanks to all who attended and we raised over $1000 for Broadway cares equity Fights Aids!

In a few weeks we are performing a show at theatre festival that same weekend we will watch 6 of our fellow backlight’ers in or behind the all state show. I am so excited but realize that challenges are tremendous. Stay focused on the tasks ahead and enjoy the break. Know we have to pull together now more than ever. Crew tomorrow at 6-9pm!

What a great time to be in Backlight. We are busier than ever! not only are we rehearsing for ONCE UPON A MATTRESS but we are also approaching our theatre fest performance of THE LOVE OF THREE ORANGES. Rehearsing two shows at once is going to make for a very tough few weeks. Yesterday oranges cast and crew proved to be up to the challenge. I stress to all Backlight students to stay on top of all your schoolwork and this might be one of the most rewarding times of our lives!
Remember the harder you work the luckier you get!
