MUSEUM First tech
Just a week away form opening night! Here we are at our first tech for the spting play MUSEUM.

Its that time again!

Notice that a few changes have been made to the blog. Most notable that is is no longer the The Wiz Blog but rather the BTC blog. It’s my news and notes for Backlight Theatre! I still like the title So You Wanted to Meet the Wizard… but feel free to contact me with suggestions.

Long Live the Scarob
So tonight we took down The Scarob! We try to put some really great set pieces up in the shop. The Scarob was the first and the biggest. The Scarob made its debut for JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT in 2003. We need to move the flat rack to The Scarob’s old spot. We plan to reinstall The Scarob but in the mean time it was a sad day at VHHS.

The Scarobs final moments.

Everyone to their places. Notice Josh entering Heaven, we never thought he would make it.

Pull out the screws and hand it to the people up top, that’s the plan.

Worked like a charm!

Well done lower crew!

The scarob is back there somewhere.

This space has had that set piece ever since Andrew Benton and myself put it up after Joseph in 2004.

Sorry Sarah, Jorie, and Blair. Stunkel never worked on it!

There he is in his temporary spot in Heaven. He will rise again greater than before!

But some thinsgs never change. Here is the marching band from ON THE RAZZLE.

And the shield from NOISES OFF.
